All About Battlefield Automotive

D. Scott Herrmann opened Battlefield Automotive in April of 2010 to give Swansboro drivers another option for auto repair—an alternative to the dealerships and franchise auto service centers. He started on his own and grew the business by providing quality auto repair and friendly, personal service. As a one-man enterprise, Scott could ensure people were treated well and vehicles were always repaired thoroughly and correctly. Now with a team of qualified mechanics, the same principles rule, and we’re able to serve more people with an exceptional auto repair experience.

At Battlefield Automotive everyone is treated as family, including the people who work here and you, our customers.

From the Owner, Scott Herrmann

My dad was an airplane mechanic, but I never thought I’d be a mechanic until it was time for me to choose a career. Auto repair seemed like a good idea, so I started in 1992 at a Chevy dealership, working on medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks. From there, I went on to work for an independent Firestone dealer as a service advisor, a Volkswagen dealer as a technician, and several independent garages. After moving to the coast, I decided to open my own auto repair shop in 2010, taking the good I had seen at each of the places I worked and none of the bad. I’ve put it all together at Battlefield Automotive to provide our customers with the best automotive service experience possible.
